Nittan ST-H-AS Standard Heat Analogue Sensor
Description
Please Note: due to component issues Nittan are no longer able to manufacturer these detectors, although they are still available to be purchased while existing stock lasts. Once depleted they will no longer be available to purchase. Alternatively you can use the ST-H2-AS Heat Detector which will be replacing the ST-H-AS as a direct replacement. One noticeable difference between the two detectors is that the ST-H-AS is programmed via DIL Switches on the back on the detector, whereas the ST-H2-AS is programmed via a Nittan hand-held programmer.
Nittan ST-H-AS Standard Heat Analogue Sensor
Unlike smoke detectors that detect the presence of smoke particles, heat detectors only react to changes in temperature. The ST-H-AS is a Thermistor based Heat Detector, which uses electronic components that change their resistance when heated; this change is detected by circuitry within the detector.
