Tyco Minerva MD501EX Heat Detector Rate of Rise (Ex Rated)
These detectors use a novel thick-film thermistor network which is capable of detecting rapid changes in temperature. The rate of rise/fixed temperature heat detectors can be used in areas where smoke sensors are unsuitable due to environmental conditions (smoke, dust, etc).
Such areas include kitchens, locker rooms, can-teens, garages, loading bays, etc. The integral electronics emulate conventional fire detectors’ response curves, and transmit the state to the controller as an alarm conditions.
